Kenny Omega and Don Callis Finished with Impact?, Christian Says the Impact World Title Is Back Home Where It Belongs, More

It looks like Don Kallis and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega can do it right now with Impact Wrestling.

As noted, Friday’s premiere of AEW Rampage from Pittsburgh saw Christian Cage beat Omega to win the Impact World title.

In an update, Impact’s executive vice president took to Twitter after the show to indicate that Omega and Kallis have at least made their final appearances for Impact thus far.

“Looks like the world is fine again. After AEW’s #AEWRampage tonight, PIMPACTWRESTLING’s world title is @ Christian4Peeps. Time to say goodbye to TimeKenny OmegamanX and D TheDonCallis. Say, ‘Bang!'” De Amour tweeted.

As seen below, Impact and AEW posted Christian’s post-show footage of the big win. He announced that the Impact World title has returned home to where it belongs.

“I’m very impressed, but to be honest, it’s a very real moment,” Christian said. “I got a little behind the 8-ball where I said I would definitely beat Kenny for the Impact Championship and go to the Impact Zone next week, very stupid if I did. I didn’t follow him, did I?

“But it feels great, and like I said, my roots are deep with Impact, and I thought it was my duty to get it back for Impact fans, and because this company is for me. It’s very important. So this is back to home. where it belongs. “

AEW roster member Christian is set to challenge Omega for the AEW world title on September 5 at All Out. He will also be working on the Impact TV tapes next week, appearing on Thursday’s Impact broadcast and defending himself against # 1 contender Brian Myers at the Impact Emergency event on August 20.

Omega won the Impact World title with Rich Swan on April 25 at Impact Rebellion Pay Per View. He held the title for 111 days before taking him out of the cage last night. Omega only had two Impact title defenses in those 111 days: he held the banana on June 12 at Against All Odds Special, and then on July 16 at Sami Kalihan at Salimi’s annual Pay Per View.

Stay tuned for more. Below is D’Amor’s full tweet, along with another new photo of Christian in straps and a few other related shots:
